In the last edition of the Index, more than 120 Norwegian companies reported their gender equality status. By joining, you will have an effective tool for self-improvement and be able to measure and showcase how your company compares to other equality minded organizations across Norway. This edition of the SHE Index will be presented at the SHE Conference on March 5th, 2021.  

Change is the new normal 

Even though we live in a world where “change is the new normal”, some changes are too slow. The World Economic Forum continues to report that it will take two centuries for women around the world to experience full economic parity, unless we see an increased step change. As an essential part of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), gender equality is the common denominator within all categories, spanning from age, disability, race and ethnicity, to sexual preference etc. If we struggle to achieve gender equality, we will never experience the competitive advantages D&I bring to the corporate world. We need to do better! We need to ensure that the corporate world mirror society, including our demographic composition and the potential work force.  

Support and motivate to work towards equality  

There are many stakeholders on this journey; the women themselves; society as such and all the participants within the corporate world. We want to support and motivate the corporate world to embark on the changes needed, while striving for gender equality. Let’s embark on this journey together. Let’s strive for gender equality, laying the foundation for diversity and bringing this to life through inclusion.

The SHE Index is a catalyst for encouraging stakeholders to focus on diversity and gender equality within the whole workforce including at leadership level, by addressing the relevant data including aspirations and actions. By joining the Index, companies have taken an important step in being a part of the journey towards gender equality. Even though we have seen a significant increase in companies joining the Index, we encourage more to do so. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
